Our story
The Making Hour began with a simple idea... making time for yourself matters.
After years of busy routines, constant pressure and always feeling switched on, I realised how important it was to intentionally slow down and create moments of calm in everyday life.
I found that creativity became a form of wellbeing for me — not because everything had to be perfect, but because taking time to make something with my hands helped me feel more present, relaxed and grounded.
That experience became the inspiration behind The Making Hour.
I wanted to create DIY kits that felt different:
thoughtful, calming, beautifully packaged and approachable for everyone — even people who don’t think of themselves as “creative”.
Each kit is designed to encourage slower moments, mindful creativity and simple rituals that help you pause from the noise of everyday life.
From carefully chosen materials to sustainable packaging and soft, calming aesthetics, every detail is chosen with intention.
I hope The Making Hour gives people permission to slow down, reconnect with creativity and enjoy meaningful time for themselves.
